PHISHING ALERT
Credit unions nationwide report a high volume of text message and phone phishing attacks. Individuals are receiving automated messages indicating their cards have been de-activated and to re-activate the card, he/she must enter their 16-digit account number, CVV2/CVC2 code, card expiration date, and/or PIN. Falling prey to this scam have resulted in subsequent fraud. NEVER respond to a text message or phone cal that requests personal or account information.
FRAUD MONITORING
Members with our credit or debit cards know that we monitor their card usage for possible fraudulent activity. Due to an increase in PIN fraud at ATMs, there has been enhanced scrutiny of multiple transactions occurring at ATMs. Please be aware of your behavior that sometimes follow very common patterns of activities initiated by fraudsters, such as trying various PIN combinations when denied for "Invalid PIN" or making multiple attempts of withdrawals for decreasing amounts when denied for "Exceeds Limit." Your card may be temporarily blocked until our Card Security call center can verify suspect transactions with you.
Although an inconvenience, members appreciate the questioning as they know we have their best interests in mind. Call us for information regarding our credit and/or debit card programs.
